Before founding Square Meter Development, Watson served as a fund senior project manager at Bridge Investment Group, where he played a crucial role in managing a real estate development fund worth $3.5 billion on the East Coast. His responsibilities included overseeing the development of high-rise buildings, mid-rise buildings, and mixed-use developments comprising a total of 6,700 units, as well as a 300,000 square foot office building and a last-mile distribution center. Watson also worked as a development associate at LDG Development, where he focused on developing low-income housing tax credit 4% bond projects in Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia. He holds a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in Finance from Morehouse College.​
